2002 in Review...

Well if you’re reading my Blog they you’re interested in what I have to say, or at least you’re bored enough to sit there and peruse my insipid deliberations.

The New Year is upon us and I would like to take some time to wish everyone a happy a prosperous 2003. Many people have expressed that they are more than happy to see the end of 2002, but I am not one of them.

This past year has provided me with some excellent memories. I began the year with by attending a fabulous New Years party with some of my closest friends, then I learned that one of those friends had proposed to his girlfriend, the wedding will be later this year. In February I began dating my current girlfriend and I couldn’t be happier with how things are progressing. March saw an 8 week OPSEU strike. Although a strike doesn’t exactly scream happy thoughts, this one showed me that when Mankind decides to unite to battle a form of greater evil it is capable of accomplishing anything. The strike also allowed me to spend time with Seanie D, a friend I had lost touch with. June brought me to Ottawa to work for the Ontario Government, and I’m still logging my time as a dedicated Civil Servant. I find that I enjoy passing my time in an office doing menial tasks that allow me to concentrate on writing screen plays and designing comic books characters. The Summer of 2002 included several visits to the Cottage and some great evenings in our nations capitol. Since then I’ve been coasting along, my girlfriend and my best friend have moved in with me, cutting my rent to a fraction of it’s original cost and providing me with some much needed entertainment. Movies have been great this year, all of it culminating with Lord of the Rings the Two Towers.

I began 2003 with a viewing of Catch Me If You Can. I must say this is one of the better Spielberg movies I’ve seen. It had a decidedly Rat-Packesque feel which I enjoyed.

I will leave you with some advice that a wise man once gave me, and other words of wisdom: Live for the moment, Enjoy life, Just do it, Always Coca-Cola, Purple monkey dish washer, and Woo Hoo Porn (Seanie D).
